Indian Bridal Make up Featuring shades of redGrowing up, I always loved Gujarati weddings. The make up was always different, in keeping with the deep red and white panetar sarees which are worn by Gujarati's. The red in the eyes was always Sketch eyeshadow with a gold to compliment. There didn't seem to be a pure bright red on the market. Sketch worked with the deep maroon colours growing up. As time's gone on, the maroons are now blood red and the white is less with more gold. With the availabilty of red eyeshadow...that can produce great colour payoff, this look is one I favour the most for my brides! I enjoy watching your videos on YouTube, & have recommended them to my Indian female acquaintances, all of whom, coincidentally, are Gujarati! It seems to me that half of Punjab is living in the Greater London are (hello, Gurinder Chadha!), while most of the Indians living here in my area of New England are from Gujarat! I wouldn't be surprised to see you in New England someday, since you're about the last Gujarati left in the UK! Wish I had your coloring so I could use these lovely cosmetics, but I'm very fair (the typical "goreh,: LOL) and can't go quite as bold... for example, I use grey eyeliner instead of black (which I loved in my teens!). Anyway, great tutorial and you look very elegant and "glam."
